Bus service changes - Lichfield district

SCC have advised of the following changes to bus services from September 2022:

from 3 September

  • Service 110 (Arriva Midlands, Tamworth – Birmingham) will have a revised timetable, and a revised route in Birmingham. One journey in each direction will extend to serve Rawlett Academy on school days only.

from 4 September

  • Service 6 (National Express WM, Walsall – Sutton Coldfield) will have a revised timetable.
  • Service 937 (National Express WM, Boney Hay – Birmingham) will have a revised timetable.
  • Service X3 (National Express WM, Lichfield – Birmingham) will have a revised timetable, including the introduction of a service 3 return journey between Lichfield and Little Aston.

from 5 September

  • Service 12 (Diamond Bus, Burton – Lichfield) will have minor timetable revisions.
  • Services 31/32 (Diamond Bus, Lichfield Circulars) will have a revised route and timetable. Most 31 journeys will continue to/from Burton as an X12, with through journeys available
  • Service 36 (Select Bus, Lichfield – Aldridge) will have early morning/late evening peak journeys between Stonnall and Aldridge withdrawn.
  • Service 60 (Chaserider, Cannock – Lichfield) will have a revised timetable.
  • Service 62 (Chaserider, Cannock – Lichfield) will have a revised timetable.
  • New service 766 (Chaserider) will operate 1 return journey between Whittington and King Edward VI, Lichfield on Schooldays only.
  • Service 817 (Select Bus, Hill Ridware – Rodbaston) will have a revised timetable. The 1645 journey from Rodbaston to Rugeley will be reinstated and all return journeys will be drop-off only after Rodbaston College.
  • Service 817 (Diamond Bus, Fradley – Friary School). The morning journey will leave 5 minutes earlier at 0733.
  • Service 819 (Diamond Bus, Hill Ridware – Lichfield) will have a revised timetable and a revised route, due to roadworks on the Streethay slip road and to serve Roman Heights.
  • Service 828 (Chaserider, Stafford – Lichfield) will have a revised route and timetable, serving Hydrant Way rather than Blackheath Lane. This route combines with 841 to provide a service every 30 minutes from St Mary’s Gate to Stafford town centre.

Services X12 (Diamond Bus, Burton – Lichfield) will have a revised route and timetable, diverting to serve Roman Heights estate. A new Sunday service is introduced and most journeys will continue from Lichfield Bus Station as route 31, with through journeys available.
