Consultation- Staffordshire's Economic and Rural Growth Strategies
Staffordshire County Council are consulting on Staffordshire’s economic growth priorities for the next 8 years and want to hear your views. For more details, including how to respond to the consultation see below. Please note the consultation finishes on Monday, 30 May 2022.
A co-ordinated view of our economic futureResidents, stakeholders and businesses have until just Monday 30th May to help shape Staffordshire’s economic growth priorities for the next eight years, which has the ultimate aim of increasing prosperity and opportunities. This is a top priority for the county council. While our approach to support the creation of a more balanced economy over the last decade has helped businesses rise to the challenges of the pandemic, the much-changed economic outlook means that now is the right time to set out plans for the local economic plans of the future. While the new Economic Strategy sets out our overall vision and priorities for the local economy up to 2030, the Rural Economic Strategy recognises the importance of links between our urban and rural areas, and the challenges faced by rural parts of the county. Together they provide a comprehensive and co-ordinated view to creating the conditions for residents to have access to the higher-paid jobs that will be created in Staffordshire.
The draft Economic StrategyStrategic Aim – Everyone in Staffordshire will have access to more good jobs and share the benefits of economic growth. Our proposed actions, working with our partners, to realise this ambition:
